David M. Jones

David Jones took a position in the litigation department after having worked as an associate attorney and as a law clerk at another Denver-area trial firm since 2003. He has experience with all aspects of civil litigation, particularly in the context of defending physicians, dentists, and other health care professionals in complex malpractice matters and before their respective licensing boards and credentialing entities. David has a broad range of trial experience, from successfully prosecuting a breach of contract action in county court, to second-chairing the trial of an orthopedic surgeon to defense verdict in an eight-day trial.

David came to Messner & Reeves to continue counseling and advising the firm's health care clients in litigation and administrative/licensing matters, as well as to expand his practice on the strength of the firm's broad base of expertise. Before law school, David worked as a professional driver and competition driving instructor. This work took him all over the country and to Canada working as an independent contractor for car and tire manufacturers, racing schools, and a racing series; it was a productive outlet for David's passion for operating wheeled vehicles at speed.

Community Involvement:
For the past several years, David has been a member of the Wheels of Justice Leadership Council, coordinating fundraising and corporate/law firm sponsorship for a recreational cycling team participating annually in the Courage Classic, a charity cycling event benefitting The Children's Hospital Foundation. David also serves as the Vice President of Development on the Alumni Board of the school he attended growing up.
