Suzanne Sorich Goodspeed

As head of the Firm’s Corporate Practice Group and a member of the Real Estate Practice Group, Ms. Goodspeed advises individuals and businesses in several areas.  Her corporate law practice consists of advising clients regarding choice of business entity and formation issues, the growth process, financing, executive compensation and employment plans, general business matters such as contract development and negotiation and business transactions such as asset and stock acquisitions, divestitures and mergers. 

In addition, Ms. Goodspeed advises clients on corporate governance and legal compliance issues, such as Sarbanes-Oxley and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and related privacy compliance laws.  As part of her real estate practice, Ms. Goodspeed advises clients in the area of commercial real estate development and financing, and retail & office leasing.

Community Involvement:

Ms. Goodspeed’s community involvement includes previously serving on the board of directors of Donor Alliance, a federally designated nonprofit organ procurement organization and tissue bank that serves Colorado and a portion of Wyoming.  Ms. Goodspeed served as Chairman of the Board in 2004.  Additionally, Ms. Goodspeed, in cooperation with a group of other parents, founded the Rise School of Denver, a nonprofit preschool inclusive of children with developmental delays.  Ms. Goodspeed serves on the Board of Directors of the Rise School.  Messner & Reeves has donated numerous hours of pro bono legal work to the Rise School, including assistance with its formation and 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.
