As a member of the firm's Real Estate Practice Group, Mr. Welch represents corporations, real estate professionals, financing companies, limited liability companies, banks, investors, receivers and specialty lenders in all aspects of their businesses. Such work includes substantial drafting, negotiation and closing of commercial contracts, real estate transactions, financing arrangements, commercial leases and subleases, and other related contracts and legal documents, including workout and recovery agreements, foreclosure agreements, etc. Mr. Welch also represents a variety of creditors in bankruptcy matters, including handling Chapter 7, 11 and 13 proceedings, proof of claim submissions, Chapter 11 and 13 plan review and objections, relief from automatic stay issues, objections to discharge, adversary proceedings, cash collateral issues, etc. and has previously served on secured and unsecured creditor's committees on behalf of his clients.
