Messner & Reeves Elevates Two Partners

In connection with its 14th Anniversary Celebration, Messner & Reeves announced that two of its lawyers have become equity partners at the firm effective April 1, 2009. Suzanne Sorich Goodspeed and David A. Reeves now join founder Bryant S. "Corky" Messner, John Shunk, and Bruce Montoya as owners of the firm.

Messner commented that "Suzanne and David have made significant contributions to the firm, our clients and the community. I am proud of them for the hard work they have put into building their practices and the leadership they provide at Messner & Reeves. To reach the ownership level at Messner & Reeves, Suzanne and David have each developed their own law practice, which is what is necessary to be succesful here."

Suzanne joined Messner & Reeves in 1998 as a new associate and has built a significant practice in both the corporate and real estate arenas. She now heads the firm's Corporate Practice Group. "It is an honor to work with the talented employees and exceptional clients of Messner & Reeves and to have been a part of the firm's success and growth over the past eleven years. I look forward to the firm and our clients achieving many more milestones."

David started his career at Messner & Reeves in 1996. He now leads the firm's Real Estate Practice Group. "My father and Corky Messner wanted to find a better way to practice law, and founded Messner & Reeves on simple principles: take care of your clients and provide excellent legal services at a reasonable cost. Our success is a testament to the soundness of that philosophy. I am honored and privileged to be a part of this firm."
