Each Associate participated in the Messner Reeves Summer Law Clerk Program in 2016, where they worked closely with attorneys to gain real legal experience beyond the classroom. During their summer with Messner Reeves, they were able to attend client meetings, negotiations, depositions, trials, courtroom hearings as well as drafting research memoranda, motions, briefs, and a broad array of transactional documents. Messner Reeves strives to be different than other firms by establishing a long-term commitment to mentoring and developing our future Associates. We identify new candidates through various sources each year to participate in our Summer Clerk Program. Our interview process is extensive and includes three rounds of panel interviews with multiple attorneys at the firm ranging from Associates to Partners, as well as the firm’s founder and CEO, Corky Messner. Finalists are sent formal offers to join our Summer Law Clerk Program which includes eight weeks of summer experience, and a full-time, permanent Associate position with the firm following graduation, pending bar results.
