It's that time of year again!   We are excited to be a sponsor of the Children's Hospital Holiday Card Project.  Every year patients at Children's Hospital Colorado design holiday cards with proceeds from the sale of the cards going towards treatment of pediatric cancer patients.  For the past six years we have participated in this wonderful program and cannot wait for everyone to see this year's card.

Our card this year, "Smiling Snowman" was designed by Kate Blakeman, a 9 year old oncology patient at Children's Hospital Colorado.  Kate's card perfectly captures the joy of the holiday season.  We hope you like the card as much as we do!

Happy Holidays from Messner Reeves LLP

We are proud sponsors of the 2013 Wright Award, which showcases leaders from the Colorado lifestyle industries.  This business-award competition charges award contenders with creating a 90-second video that conveys the company's core business proposition, vision and how Colorado has influenced their inception, culture and growth.

A committee of judges including partner, Steve Levine, will select a winner to receive $3,000.  This is always a great event that celebrates Colorado's entrepreneurs and small businesses.  To learn more visit: Something Independent/Wright Award.

The heat certainly didn’t keep the crowds away from Chipotle’s Cultivate Festival.  City Park played host to the event that brought together chefs, thought leaders, artists, musicians, and hungry crowds all working towards a world of more sustainable, wholesome and delicious food.

The festival featured several musical acts including Cold War Kids, Denver’s own Air Dubai, Blizten Trapper, and more.  Chef demonstrations included world-renowned chef Amanda Freitag (Iron Chef America/Unique Eats), Richard Blais (Top Chef), Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson, Nate Appleman, Joel Holland, and Scott Parker.

The festival also celebrated local and regional food with an Artisans’ Hall that featured samplings from an amazing collection vendors including, Teatulia Organic Teas, Little Man Ice Cream, The Real Dill, Backyard Soda Co. and many more.

Between all the festival activities and amazing food- Shophouse Rice Bowls, Gorditas, Cultivate Farmhouse Ale and more, we are already dreaming about next year’s event.

June 1, 2013- It was a perfect, sunny Colorado day for the annual Messner Reeves Block Party.  With a whole city block closed off, over 700 people enjoyed delicious food from Larkburger, Slotted Spoon, Chipotle, Mad Greens, Stoney's, Sweet Cow Ice Cream and more.  With drinks flowing from Coors, Peach Street Distillers, Spring 44 Distillery, Tingala and Oogave Soda, friends and family mingled and enjoyed music, while kids were entertained by bouncy castles and face painting. Good times were had by all- now let the planning for next year’s party begin!
