Andrew M. Bechel
Andrew is an associate in the firm’s Taxation and Corporate Practice Groups. Andrew assists both individuals and companies in structuring their affairs in a tax-efficient manner. On the individual side, Andrew works closely with the client to develop a plan that best fits the client’s needs and minimizes estate and gift taxes as well as federal and state income taxes. These plans may incorporate the use of trusts, partnerships (or LLCs), and charitable giving in order to reduce tax.
On the corporate side, Andrew works closely with the Corporate Group to ensure that business transactions are structured to minimize federal and state taxes. These transactions include, but are not limited to, entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, and reorganizations.
Andrew received his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School and his LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law. Before joining Messner Reeves, Andrew worked for four years in Washington, D.C., in private practice. In his free time, Andrew enjoys skiing, golfing, hiking, and playing guitar.
