Ben K. Hand

Mr. Hand is a member in the firm’s litigation practice group. He advises clients on a variety of civil litigation matters including general civil litigation, labor and employment, and insurance litigation.

While attending the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, Mr. Hand worked for BioMarin Pharmaceutical, Inc. During this time, he worked on projects focused on data privacy, compliance, HIPAA, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and False Claims Act. Mr. Hand worked as a summer law clerk in the firm’s Denver office. During this time, he handled a variety of labor, employment, and medical malpractice issues.

During his time in law school, Mr. Hand worked as a law clerk for the Liberty, Security, and Technology Clinic, Mr. Hand researched and prepared several briefs for a criminal appeal. The briefs were in response to convictions involving the Uniform Code of Military Justice, violations of the Espionage Act, and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. Mr. Hand served as treasurer of the Hastings Intellectual Property Association. Finally, as a member of the Hastings Moot Court Team he won several awards in national moot court competitions.

Mr. Hand is a Denver native and enjoys traveling, staying active, and getting outside to experience everything Colorado has to offer.
