Jacqueline R. Guesno
Ms. Guesno joined the firm in 2012 and is a partner in our Litigation Labor and Employment Department. Ms. Guesno is an accomplished trial attorney who began her career in 2003 as a Colorado State Public Defender in Arapahoe County where she tried in excess of 70 major felony jury trials. Since joining Messner Reeves, Ms. Guesno has demonstrated her skill in successfully litigating complex, trial-bound employment cases across the country, as well as expanding the firm's expertise to include criminal defense. Throughout her career, Ms. Guesno has earned a reputation as a fierce, tenacious, and highly skilled advocate, who has achieved a high rate of sucess for her clients and in turn has earned the respect of state and federal judges and fellow attorneys.
Originally from Long Beach, California, Ms. Guesno attended St. Louis University on an academic and athletic scholarship, where she competed as a Division 1 cross country athlete. She was named team captain and earned many academic athlete awards in her college career. Ms. Guesno graduated from St. Louis University, earning degrees in English Literature, Spanish and International Studies. In 1999, she moved to Denver to attend The University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she graduated in 2002 with her juris doctorate.
Ms. Guesno continues to be a competitive athlete. She runs half-marathons, plays soccer and practices yoga. Her competitive spirit provides a strong foundation for the adversarial process of the legal system.
Ms. Guesno is licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado and the United States District Court of Colorado. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Denver Bar and Colorado Hispanic Bar Association.
