Nick R. Herrick

Part of the firm’s Litigation Team, Nick Herrick recognizes that most people do not go into business for the disputes, the investigations, or the lawsuits. That is why he focuses his practice on helping clients to avoid the same and to quickly manage and resolve them when they do arise, so his clients can continue to focus on the things that really matter.

Mr. Herrick counsels and represents clients in matters involving labor and employment, construction and design disputes, as well as general and professional liability.

In his labor and employment practice, Mr. Herrick helps employers of all sizes with best practices, risk management, administrative agency, and internal investigations, as well as pre-litigation resolution and litigation of matters related to the Americans with Disabilities Act, wrongful discharge, retaliation, harassment, discrimination, class, and collective action, wage and hour compliance, and employment agreements arising under State and Federal law. He also works closely with in-house counsel, senior leaders, and human resources professionals on employee discipline, investigations, terminations, layoffs, and preventative measures such as training, policies, and handbooks.

Mr. Herrick also has extensive experience representing companies in their capacities as contractors, design professionals, transportation carriers, property owners, purchasers and sellers, and more in disputes in State and Federal Courts around the country in all stages of the litigation process, from initial investigation through trial and appeal.

In his free time, you can find him riding his road or mountain bike, aspiring as an (extremely) amateur woodworker, or enjoying everything the great Colorado outdoors has to offer with his wife, Karli, and his Vizsla, Remi.
