Vanessa A. Devereaux
Ms. Devereaux is originally from the San Luis Valley. She began her career as a Deputy Public Defender for the Alamosa Regional Office. Ms. Devereaux has experience practicing in both county and district criminal courts and is a tireless advocate for her clients and their families.
During law school, Ms. Devereaux sharpened her oral and written advocacy skills as a member of the University of Colorado Law School’s National Moot Court Team. Ms. Devereaux also participated in a year-long Criminal and Immigration Defense Clinic where she represented clients in criminal court and federal administrative proceedings.
In her free time, Ms. Devereaux enjoys playing the violin and singing with the Mariachi San Luis, a community-based traditional Mexican music group. She also enjoys hiking within her native state of Colorado.
