Wayne E. Penebaker Jr.

Mr. Penebaker was born at Ft. Hood, Texas and raised in the neighboring city of Killeen. In May 2015, he received a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin. While at UT Austin, Mr. Penebaker served as Student Ambassador. As a Student Ambassador, he guided prospective students around the UT campus and aided them in understanding the steps and requirements of the admissions process.

In the fall of 2015, Mr. Penebaker began his legal education at the University of Texas School of Law. During his first year at UT Law, he joined the American Journal of Criminal Law as a Staff Editor and became the Secretary of the UT Austin chapter of the J. Rueben Clark Law Society. Immediately following the completion of his first year, he began an internship at the Attorney General’s Office for the State of Texas, in its Tort Litigation Division. After completing the six-week internship at the Attorney General’s Office, Mr. Penebaker served as an intern in the Felony Division of the Hays County Criminal District Attorney’s Office in San Marcos, Texas.

Mr. Penebaker enjoys weightlifting, running, and watching UT football.

Mr. Penebaker and his wife Samantha have been married since 2014.
